Txakoli Señorío de Otxaran
Bodegas Virgen de Lorea, where the Señorío de Otxaran Txakoli is produced, settles its vineyards in an area full of natural privileges: the southern slope of the Otxaran-Zalla mountains in full Encartaciones. Its calcareous-clayey soil with moderate rainfall and temperatures and cold north winds, meets the ideal conditions for obtaining the best txakolí.
The most current production techniques, the most modern and constantly evolving facilities and professional zeal do the rest. There is reliable news that, at the end of the 17th century, the Laiseka family, ancestors of the current owner, made cider and txakolí in modest facilities that, logically, have nothing to do with the current ones. The current area is approximately 35 hectares, of which about 25 are occupied by vineyards, facilities and headquarters. The rest are in the planting process.
Straw yellow-greenish yellow, clean, long on the nose, aromas of ripe fruit (melon), citrus (lemon). Tasty, fresh, balanced, fruity, with citrus and bitter notes.
