The K5 Winery is located in the municipality of Aia, 9 km. from Zarautz, in a wonderful enclave located 300 meters above sea level, surrounded by 15 hectares. of spectacular vineyard slopes and a forest of chestnut, oak and beech trees. The building designed by the architects Alonso & Balaguer has sober lines, elegant and functional, perfectly integrated into the landscape, and respectful of the environment. From here you can see the Cantabrian Sea: on one side the Raton de Getaria and on the other the mouth of the Orio fishing port.

ELABORATION
Selection of the best plots. Entry of grapes by gravity, pre-fermentative maceration cold and fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with indigenous yeasts, at a controlled temperature. Aged for 48 months on its lees in a 5,500-liter stainless steel tank. Once bottled (March 2021), it has been kept for 24 months in the bottle before its release. Aging: Great capacity for favorable evolution in the bottle. Pairing: As it is a complex and full-bodied wine, it is advisable to accompany it with a wide range of of dishes such as shellfish, fish, white and red meat or more fatty foods such as foie.

TASTING NOTES
Txakoli KAIAREN is bright, clean and crystalline, of medium intensity with a lemon yellow color with flashes golden. High intensity on the nose with mineral notes typical of the terroir and white flowers. Aromas of incense and smoke typical of aging on lees. It has great volume and glyceric on the palate. A complex wine in flavors thanks to its long aging. The pastries and the toasted notes and the touches of gunpowder typical of the reduction after aging in the bottle stand out. Despite its age, it is a fresh wine thanks to its good acidity that makes it the perfect accompaniment for a wide variety of dishes.
