Txakoli Ieup
Bodega Magalarte’s 9 hectares of vineyards are located in the Greater Bilbao Area, in the heart of the Txorierri Valley, specifically in the municipality of Lezama, a town with potential for industrial and tourist development due to its proximity to Bilbao and good communications by road, train, sea and air. The winery is under the Txakoli de Bizkaia designation of origin.
The climate is mesothermal, moderate in terms of temperatures and rainy, called temperate / humid climate without dry or Atlantic season.
The clay-loam soils on south-facing slopes support our strains of native varieties “Hondarrabi Zuri and” Hondarrabi zuri zerratia “and our minority varieties such as” Petit Manseng “and” Riesling “.
ELABORATION
The production of Ieup txakoli begins with a manual harvest, followed by a pre-fermentation maceration, followed by pneumatic pressing in an inert atmosphere. The grape varieties used are Hondarribi Zuri and Zerratia, achieving a young, light, balanced wine, transmitting the direct essences of the 2 varieties used.
