The Hasiberriak winery where Baserritar txakoli is made is located in the municipality of Ibarrangelua, in the middle of the Urdaibai Reserve, in front of the Izaro Island, Mundaka, Bermeo and between the beaches of Laga and Laida, next to the Hotel Gametxo. An interpretive model of viticulture where the biosphere fosters life and maintains adequate conditions for the sustainable cultivation of the vine.

BASERRITAR
Txakoli Baserrritar, shows all the potential of the native plants and grapes pampered in a terroir where biodynamics and ancestral cultural practices are worked in a respectful way, taking care of the biodiversity of the area. With respectful winemaking in the cellar and working with a calm wine, the result is a more serious and mature style txakoli.

VINEYARDS
The vineyards located in the Urdaibai reserve have the direct influence of the Bay of Biscay. Two plots: The Mendata plot “Paraje de Nekesolo”, with an area of ​​1.6 hectares and a height of 265m at sea level, has an East-West orientation, receiving the warmth of the sunset light. The terrain of the vineyard is calcareous clay. The plot of Errigoiti “paraje de Maidaga”, with an area of ​​2 hectares and a height of 385m at sea level, has a southeast orientation, receiving the first rays of sun of the day. The terrain of the vineyard is calcareous smooth.

ELABORATION
Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, without filtering or clarifying. The wine spends ten months in contact with the fine lees, using the bâtonnage technique. The controlled oxidation of the deposit and the over-saturation of the lees, give it a special, different and unique character in the D.O. Bizkaiko Txakolina.

CHARACTER
Very fresh wine in the mouth, dominated by the aromas of wild herbs, ripe fruits, fine lees. In the mouth, entry with good acidity, fruity and salty, well balanced with a long mid palate. Tasty and complex at the same time.
