Txakoli Artzai organic
Ulibarri Artzaiak organic is a viticultural-livestock project located in Gordexola. Our txakoli is a typical ‘terroir’ wine from organic viticulture strains adapted to the land without contributions and with great personality.
VINEYARD
The location of the 2.2 hectare vineyard is perfect: north-south slope, total insolation, drained soils with an optimal vegetative stop. Ulibarri Artzaiak attaches great importance to the quality of the grape: that it be small, rich in ollejas and yeasts, well matured, with a manual harvest in boxes of 7 kilos.
ELABORATION
Artzai txakoli is fermented in new French oak, it is neither stabilized nor filtered, to preserve greater organoleptic potential as well as better aging. It also has a minimum bottle aging of six months. In autumn-winter we practice grazing in the vineyard with our flock of “latxa” sheep, maintaining a better balance in fertility in the field.
TASTING NOTE
Pale yellow color with slight greenish reflections, glyceric and dense. On the nose there is a good intensity of fruit, citrus, fresh grass, and some minty nuances, which give it a fresh note. In the mouth it is friendly on entry with good intensity; At the end it is pleasant with that slightly greenish nuance that makes it even more persistent. In the retronasal route, we have memories of fine and subtle fruit again.
