Since 1820 he has been elaborating and producing txakoli for the Ameztoi family. Old barrels, the smell of wood, the noise of bottles and laughter. That was the old Ameztoi and he used to gather a lot of people. In fact, the Ameztoi family has been known since ancient times by the nickname “Kirkilla” (cricket), a symbol of joy, happiness and pride.
Over time they have grown and improved their product until they achieved their own expression, an authentic txakoli to the delight of the most demanding palates. Always maintaining the autochthonous varieties Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Beltza as the basis for the elaboration of their products. Ameztoi are five generations with the family tradition in the elaboration of txakoli
White wine made exclusively with Hondarrabi Zuri grapes. It acquires a balanced and light point of needle in the fermentation process.
Txakoli Ameztoi is pale yellow in color with greenish reflections. Its bright tone shows a fine and elegant bubble. On the nose it is sophisticated and fine, with hints of green apples and fresh grapes. Dry and harmonious on the palate, with an aromatic and ample finish.
It is ideal for fish of all kinds and shellfish. Excellent with sushi, oysters and fish tempura. Service temperature 6º-10º
