Txakoli Aitu
Bodega Magalarte’s 9 hectares of vineyards are located in the Greater Bilbao Area, in the heart of the Txorierri Valley, specifically in the municipality of Lezama, a town with potential for industrial and tourist development due to its proximity to Bilbao and good communications by road, train, sea and air.
The climate is mesothermal, moderate in terms of temperatures and rainy, called temperate / humid climate without dry or Atlantic season.
The clay-loam soils on south-facing slopes support our strains of native varieties “Hondarrabi Zuri and” Hondarrabi zuri zerratia “and our minority varieties such as Hondarribi Beltza, ” Petit Manseng “and” Riesling “.
ELABORATION
The production of AITU txakoli begins with a manual harvest, followed by aging on its lees for 3 months. The main grape variety used is Hondarribi Beltz and some Garnacha.
TASTING NOTES
Cherry red with a purplish edge. Powerful nose with aromas of ripe fruit, spices and fig compote. In the mouth it is tasty, highlighting the ripe fruit and a fine bitterness.
PAIRING
Grilled red meats, legumes, poultry or sausages.
